Randy Dixon, 66, Dupont

Funeral services for Randy “Lucy” Dixon will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May, 12, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall in Dupont with Bro. David Broussard officiating. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.

Mr. Dixon, age 66 of Dupont, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Opelousas General Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Dixon; his parents, Matt and Margaret Guillory Dixon; siblings, Darlene Dixon, Renee Guillot, Eva Rabalais, Curry Dixon and Michael Dixon; niece Kayla Guillot and nephew Adam Dixon.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Nellie V. Dixon of Dupont; children, Anna Desselles (Blaise) of Marksville, Shelly Carriere (Daly) of Opelousas, Terrie Francois (Albert “Podo”) of Dupont and James Chenevert (NiKi) of Dupont; his siblings, Clay Dixon (Michelle) of Minden, Andy Dixon (Angie) of Dupont, Toby Dixon (Jessica) of Bordelonville, Hugh Dixon (Susie) of Dupont, Johnny Dixon (Cindy) of Dupont and Matt Dixon, Jr. (Susie) of Dupont; grandchildren, Dylan Couvillion, Breanne Couvillion, Jordy Desselles, Miranda Boudreaux, Daniel Carriere, Ethan Carriere, Haven Landry, Alexsis Lemoine, Zoie Francois, Hunter Francois, Alysa Francois, Justin Chenevert and Drake Chenevert; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 12:00 noon on Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall in Dupont.
