Sandra Mae Gaspard, age 71, of Bordelonville

BORDELONVILLE - Funeral services for Sandra Mae Desselle Gaspard of Bordelonville will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment will commence in the St. Peter Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 beginning at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church hall and will reopen Friday morning at 8 a.m. until the time of service.
Sandra Mae Desselle Gaspard, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Bayou Chateau in Simmesport. She was born on September 21, 1945. Sandra was a compassionate and giving person who loved her grandchildren dearly and was a great cook. She was a devoted Catholic who always tried to lend a helping hand to the elderly who couldn't get out all the time. Sandra was a strong and honest woman who led a full and compassionate life. Everyone always pitched in to help with the chores, boys did the outside chores while the girls did the inside chores.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fulgence and Lila Desselle.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years, William Steve Gaspard of Bordelonville; daughters, Sandy Ann (Esteban I.) Quispe, Jan Lee (Chadwick) Joffrion, and Linda Kay (Clint “Rowdy”) Gullett; sisters, Myra Desselle, Sharon Desselle, and Dedra Bonnette; brother, Alfred Desselle; three granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and one great-grandson on the way.
Those honored to be pallbearers will be Timothy Joffrion, Esteban A. Quispe, Nicholas Joffrion, Esteban I. Quispe, Clint “Rowdy” Gullett and Chadwick Joffrion.
