Shirley Prince, 73, Marksville

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Prince will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville, LA. with Pastor Richard Newman, Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at a later date under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Shirley Prince, age 73, of Marksville, LA. passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Valley View Nursing Home.
Mrs. Prince is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Marie Prince; parents, Louis and Etta Moullier Aucoin; brothers, Harold Aucoin and Theo Aucoin; sister, Jane Dupre Martinez. She is also preceded in death by her former husband, Richard “Chief” Prince.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda Sherman of Marksville, LA.; sisters, Lois McDaniel of Ville Platte, LA. and Theresa Gossett of Pine Prairie, LA.; grandchildren, Richard Decuir, Malurie Decuir, Lucas Decuir, Sabascian Lemoine, and Ashley Lemoine Thibodeaux; great grandchildren, Landon Decuir, Logan Decuir, Olivia Conway, and Faith Thibodeaux.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.
