Theresa Lemoine, 94 of Bunkie

A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa Lemoine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino, V.G. officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Lemoine, age 94 of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

Mrs. Theresa was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and an active member of the Altar Society, where she served as secretary for many years. She enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family and friends. Her favorite time of the year was the holiday season when everyone was gathered together to celebrate.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Lemoine, Sr.; a son, Gregory Louis Lemoine; her parents, Louis and Lenore Goudeau Marcotte; and her siblings, Rita Bordelon, Gladys Andress, Ily Virgil, Vera Wainwright and Dr. Lacy Marcotte.

Survivors include her children; James A. Lemoine, Jr. of Dallas, Richard M. Lemoine and wife Bonnie of Pineville and Marie Chantelle Blankenship and husband Rob of Bunkie; her grandchildren, Jason Lemoine (Mabel), Kristin Lemoine, Dana Lemoine, Gregory Bloss (Carly), Christopher Blankenship (Rachel) and Tyler Blankenship (Kelly); and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank everyone at The Bailey Place for their excellent care for the past four years.

Friends may visit on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
