BATON ROUGE - Funeral services for Wilder Jean Gremillion-Jones will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Nazarene Baptist Church in Baton Rouge starting at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Port Hudson National Cemetery at 1 pm. Repast to follow at Nazarene dining hall. Verrette’s Funeral Home in New Roads is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Nazarene Baptist Church in Baton Rouge from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m.
Wilder Jean Gremillion-Jones, age 61, was a native from False River and resident of Baton Rouge. She passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Born on December 24, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Cecelia Roberts and late Norman Gremillion, Sr. She was the proud wife of the late Ronald D. Jones. She was a devoted mother to Hope Guerin and the late James Guerin, Jr. Wilder loved living life to fullest with friends and family. She was a kind hearted and generous person.
Wilder leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Hope Guerin; six sisters: Mary Gremillion, Adeline LaCour, Ella Louis Ventress, Earline Ventress, Jannet DeCuir and Marilyn Madonna Darensbourg; three brothers: Norman Gremillion, Jr., Larry Gremillion and Daniel Gremillion, Sr.; one grandson, Gavin Guerin; godchild, Briella Fowler; honoree granddaughter, Rosalyn King; many nieces and nephews; and in-laws.
