Ed and Marcus Oliver lived in Houston most of their lives, but both say they consider Marksville a key part of their childhood. In fact, it was their home away from their Houston home.
For some teams, the most important game of the season is the one that puts them into the playoffs.
Last week's high school baseball and softball action in Avoyelles Parish could have been entitled, “As you like it.”
Avoyelles Charter Vikings Varsity defeated Delta Charter 9-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jackson Ragusa struck out Trey to finish off the game.
