St.Joseph, Avoyelles Charter both lose Thursday playoff games
Both Avoyelles Parish girls basketball teams were defeated in their state playoff games tonight.
The St. Joseph Lady Eagles fell to Claiborne Christian Academy, 61-36, in the Division V championship game in the Alario Center in Westwego.
In Class 2A quarterfinal action, defending champion Lake Arthur Lady Tigers, seeded 5th in the playoffs, defeated No. 4 Avoyelles Public Charter, 62-53, on the Lady Vikings' home court, nicknamed Valhalla.
