Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame Announces 2024 Inductees

Angola, LA – Department of Public Safety & Corrections Secretary Jimmy LeBlanc and the Louisiana Prison Museum and Cultural Center are proud to announce the esteemed individuals selected for induction into the prestigious Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame. This year marks the 19th ceremony honoring those who have made significant contributions to the pursuit of justice in our state.
The inductees will be formally recognized at a banquet on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at the Lod Cook Alumni Center at LSU in Baton Rouge. Earlier that day, there will be a free, open to the public, ribbon-cutting ceremony that will occur at the Louisiana Prison Museum on the grounds of the state penitentiary at Angola. “We are incredibly honored to celebrate these remarkable individuals who have championed justice throughout their careers,” said Tim Hooper, Louisiana State Penitentiary Warden.

The Honorable Kevin Cobb, Sheriff, Franklin Parish
The Honorable Ron Johnson, Sheriff, Cameron Parish
The Honorable Julie Jones, District Attorney, 39th Judicial District, Red River Parish
The Honorable Jeffrey LeDuff, Chief of Police (Ret.), East Baton Rouge Parish The Honorable W. S. “Sandy” McCain, Warden, Raymond Laborde Correctional Center, Avoyelles Parish, Inducted Posthumously
The Honorable Judge Scott Schlegel, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, Jefferson Parish
The Honorable Clifford Strider, III, Assistant District Attorney, 10th Judicial District and 37th Judicial District, Union Parish
The Honorable Collis Temple, CEO, Harmony Center, Inc.

Banquet Ticket Information
