Public bible reading to be held January 17 in St.Martinville

Come warm up with the Word! Beginning on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at 12:30 PM the Bible will be read publicly cover to cover without pause in the town square of St. Martinville in front of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. The Bible Marathon will conclude on Word of God Sunday January 21 at 4:30 PM. This year’s Bible Marathon will feature the Friar Truck, a mobile pulpit for reading the Bible on the geaux and itinerant preaching. 300 lectors will be needed for 20-minute intervals. Lectors from churches from throughout Acadiana and others interested in reading are encouraged to sign up for a reading slot during the Bible Marathon. All are encouraged to come listen and Marinate in the Word!
