Joseph H, Ponthieux, Hessmer native

In Loving Memory, Joseph H, Ponthieux, died on March 20, 2024, at the age of 91, surrounded by his family.
Born in Hessmer, LA in 1933, he was a lifelong resident of Marksville, and graduated from Hessmer High School.
He did the French News at KAPB Radio station for a number of years.
His accomplishments include 20 years of service in the USAF (Retired), and he worked at Louisiana State Dept of Labor for 18 yrs, as the head of the Unemployment Office (Retired). He had numerous friends and family who all said the same thing...." we LOVE Mr. Joe!" He is and always will be a wonderful human being, who made his mark in this world.
He is preceded in death by his wonderful wife Betty Ann Ponthieux, and his son, Keith A. Ponthieux. And is survived by his son Tyrone P. Ponthieux, Karen Selover and grandson, Paul J. Ponthieux, and granddaughter Brandi M. Hare.
We will love and miss him greatly.
