Juliette Guillory Gauthier, Hessmer

Juliette Guillory Gauthier, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 31, 2023, in Pineville, LA. She was born on July 7, 1939, in Hessmer to Edwin and Lena Daigrepont Guillory.

Juliette's journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and a genuine sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. She began her career at the old Kress Department Store in Alexandria before embarking on various other ventures. Juliette worked in the Real Estate field and retired from Kroger before ultimately finding herself back in Hessmer at the Roy Store Deli.

As a mother, Juliette provided unwavering love and support to her five children: Sandy Gauthier Gilcrease (Jim), Larry Gauthier, Edwin Paul Gauthier (Wendi), June Gauthier, and Dustin Gauthier. Her grandchildren––Tiffany, Joseph, Alexandra, Jewel, Jacob, Alisa, Dominic, Wyatt, Avery, Mia, Allison, Brayden, and Braylie––were the pride and joy of her life. Juliette also cherished her great-grandchild Caiden. Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family to include numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

The memory of Juliette will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious laughter filled every room she entered; she was always quick with a joke or a lighthearted remark that would bring smiles to those around her. Her uplifting presence brightened even the darkest days.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Visitation service being held on January 4th at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. The visitation will start at 8:00 am and conclude at 10:00 am. Immediately following the Visitation, a Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 am in the same location with Brother Clay Strohschein officiating. In the wake of Juliette's passing, her family finds solace in the cherished memories they had with her and is grateful for the love and support they have received. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
