Sylvia Quebedeaux, 81, Bordelonville

Funeral Mass for Sylvia Reason Quebedeaux of Mansura will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Paul the Apostle Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at 8:00am on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 until 11:00am at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. A holy rosary will be recited at 10:00am.

Sylvia Quebedeaux, age 81, was born on February 18th, 1942 in Bordelonville. She entered her eternal rest with family by her side on December 30th, 2023 at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria.

Sylvia's unwavering dedication to her loved ones was evident in every aspect of her life. Her home was always a warm and welcoming place, where family and friends were greeted with open arms and a loving smile. Known for her culinary talents, Sylvia delighted in preparing delicious meals that brought people together. Sylvia's food always left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to enjoy it. In her leisure time, Sylvia loved playing bingo and spending time with her cherished family. She found joy in nurturing and caring for others and babysitting for family and friends. Her selflessness and generosity touched the hearts of all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael (Amanda) Quebedeaux of Woodworth and Darlene (Jamie) Healy of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by one grandchild, Carson Quebedeaux of Woodworth and two step-grandchildren, Garrett and Brendan Healy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert "T-Gil" Quebedeaux, Jr.; her parents, Elmore & Mamie Reason; her brother, Douglas Reason; and sister, Rose Marie Reason.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Ryan Quebedeaux, Chad Quebedeaux, Randy Quebedeaux, Jamie Healy, David Reason, Wayne Michel, and Michael Mitchell; crossbearer will be Carson Quebedeaux.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mrs. Quebedeaux's name to the Avoyelles Parish 4-H Center in Mansura.
