$100 Entergy bill credit program includes Avoyelles customers

Eligible Entergy Louisiana residential customers in Avoyelles Parish are included in a statewide assistance program offering a one-time $100 credit toward their electricity bills.

The $2 million program is funded by Entergy shareholder dollars and administered through participating United Way organizations. Applications opened at 9 a.m. Oct. 28 and will be accepted while funding remains available.

Avoyelles Parish applicants should apply through United Way of Southwest Louisiana at unitedwayswla.org/entergy-bill. The organization’s application page specifically includes Avoyelles among the parishes it serves for this program.

The assistance is available to qualifying households living below the federal poverty level and households classified as ALICE, which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. ALICE households earn above the poverty level but do not earn enough to cover basic living expenses.

Applicants must be residential Entergy Louisiana customers, be the account holder or an authorized user, and meet household income requirements. Living in Avoyelles Parish alone does not establish eligibility.

“This bill credit is one more way we’re stepping up to support the communities we serve during a time when everyday costs are on the rise,” said Nyka Scott, Entergy Louisiana customer service vice president.

Applicants should have a photo ID, their most recent Entergy Louisiana bill and income documentation for each household income earner age 18 or older. Accepted income records include the first page of a 2025 tax return, a 2025 W-2, the most recent pay stub or specified Social Security documentation.

The application also requests the Entergy account number, service address, household size, annual household income, and valid email and telephone contact information.

Applications may be completed using a smartphone, with clear photographs of the required documents uploaded online. Residents needing computer access may visit their local public library.

Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. If approved, the credit will be applied directly to the customer’s Entergy Louisiana account and may take up to 90 days after approval to appear.
