🎓 Academic Wins Released: ULM, McNeese, NSU, LSU, and SNHU: Fall 2025
The University of Louisiana Monroe has announced the students named to the President’s List and Dean’s List for the Fall 2025 semester, recognizing outstanding academic achievement.
Eligibility for the President’s List requires full-time enrollment (a minimum of 12 semester hours completed) and a term grade point average of 3.9 or higher.
Local students named to the President’s List include:

Dean’s List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who earn a 3.5 or higher term GPA.

McNeese State holds Dec. 19 Commencement
McNeese State University in Lake Charles conferred degrees on 541 graduates during two ceremonies for the university’s 165th commencement, held Friday, Dec. 19, at McNeese’s Townsley Law Arena.
The summer and fall 2025 graduating classes included students from 34 parishes, 12 states, and 12 countries. A total of 544 degrees were awarded, including:
- 23 associate degrees
- 439 bachelor’s degrees
- 80 master’s degrees
- 2 doctoral degrees
Local graduate included the following:
- Plaucheville: Cody Lacour, Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
NSU awards diplomas to summer, fall 2025 graduates
Northwestern State University in Natchitoches awarded 292 degrees to 290 Summer 2025 graduates and 607 degrees to 595 Fall 2025 graduates during commencement ceremonies Dec. 17-18. Summer graduates listed by hometown are followed by Fall graduates listed by hometown.

LSU awards diplomas to fall 2025 graduates
Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge awarded more than 2,000 bachelor’s degrees during the university’s Fall 2025 Commencement ceremony held Thursday, Dec. 18. University officials said all degrees conferred during the ceremony were bachelor’s degrees, recognizing students who completed undergraduate programs across a wide range of academic disciplines.

Local students named to SNHU Fall 2025 Honor Lists
Southern New Hampshire University has announced that Damion Jacobs of Marksville, Sharon Dupont of Mansura, and Trevor Cazelot of Hessmer have been named to the Fall 2025 President’s List, while Cassandra Trojan of Bunkie has been named to the Fall 2025 Dean’s List.
The Fall 2025 academic term ran from September through December. To qualify for the President’s List, full-time undergraduate students must earn a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 or higher for the term. Students named to the Dean’s List must earn a grade-point average between 3.500 and 3.699. Full-time status is defined as completing 12 credits over a 16-week term or paired eight-week terms.
