Annual Wellness Screening on June 4!

The Avoyelles Parish School Board will host its annual wellness screening for active and retired employees on Thursday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marksville Elementary School library.

The screening, provided by Ochsner Health, is offered to help employees and retirees qualify for a health insurance credit while also promoting overall wellness.

A variety of health checks will be available, including:

• glucose
• total cholesterol
• HDL
• LDL
• triglycerides
• A1C testing for known diabetics
• blood pressure
• BMI measurements

Mental health screenings, including PHQ-9 and GAD-7 assessments, will also be provided. Results will be reviewed onsite with a nurse, and participants will receive a secure email link to access their results.

Fasting is preferred but not required.

Appointments are required and may be scheduled online at ochsner.vitaloginc.com. Those without internet access may call 1-866-495-6235 to schedule. When booking, participants should use event code 959B99 and enter their name exactly as it appears on their Louisiana Blue insurance card.

Marksville Elementary School is located at 430 W. Waddil Street.
