📝 Avoyelles Water Commission Meeting Highlights 2025

The Meeting was called to order by Penn Lemoine. An appreciation was expressed for all of the staff.

Motions

Motion 1:
Donald Milligan made a motion to accept the minutes from November 18th, John Lemoine seconded, all in favor, motion passed.

Motion 2:
John Lemoine made a motion to accept the bills, reconciliation, and review of the financial statements. Donald Milligan seconded, all in favor, motion passed.

Penn Lemoine discussed signing the renewal for the LAWCO contract which renews every three years.

Motion 3:
Donald Milligan made a motion to renew the LAWCO contract. John Lemoine seconded, all in favor, motion passed.

Penn Lemoine discussed changing the meeting time to noon for the winter months. All agreed.

Laurie Lemoine discussed changing the amount allotted for her health care needs to be added to her payroll per the CPA. She discussed that she will 1099 the amount for 2025 and for 2026 will add it to her payroll as a raise as the CPA advised because it is private insurance.

Motion 4:
John Lemoine made a motion to change the allotment for Laurie’s health care from ACH draft to her paycheck. Donald Milligan seconded, all in favor, motion passed.

Laurie asked if there were any sexual harassment incidents for the year of 2025. The staff replied with no incidents at all in 2025.

Motion 5:
John Lemoine made a motion to adjourn. Donald Milligan seconded, all in favor, motion passed.
