Boil Advisory Issued After Water Leak Repaired on Marksville Highway

MARKSVILLE, La. — October 9, 2025

The water leak along Marksville Highway has been successfully repaired, and water service has now been restoredto all affected customers, officials announced Thursday afternoon.

The outage had impacted customers from Little Corner Road on Highway 115 to the end of the service line at the Marksville Bridge, including all connecting side roads.

Crews are currently flushing water lines, and residents may experience temporary low water pressure as the system returns to normal.

Officials are advising customers to open an outside faucet for at least five minutes before turning on indoor faucetsto help release air pockets and remove any debris that may have entered the system during repairs.

boil advisory is now in effect and will remain in place until water samples are cleared by the Louisiana Department of Health. Residents are urged to boil all water for at least one full minute before drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth.

Officials thanked customers for their patience and understanding while repairs were completed.
