📚🎉BOOK IT! Summer of Stories Returns for 2026!

Families across Avoyelles Parish once again have the opportunity to turn reading time into rewards as the BOOK IT! Summer of Stories program returns this year.

Enrollment opened May 1 for the popular summer reading program, which is available to families with children in pre-K through 6th grade. The program runs from June 1 through Aug. 31 and is offered exclusively through the BOOK IT! mobile app.

Participants can set reading goals, track their progress, and earn rewards along the way, including a free personal pan pizza for meeting monthly goals.

To participate, parents are asked to download the BOOK IT! app, complete enrollment, and create a profile for each child. Families are reminded that enrollment is required each year to take part in the program.

Organizers say the program is designed to keep children reading, learning, and engaged throughout the summer months while making it fun and rewarding.
