Another one-case day for Avoyelles Thursday

It was another one-case day for Avoyelles Parish Thursday. The daily COVID update from the state health department showed only 128 tests were reviewed for the report, with one positive result. There were no reinfections and no additional COVID-related deaths in Thursday's numbers.
As of Thursday, Avoyelles' pandemic totals since March 2020 were 11,560 total cases, which include 10,763 individuals with 797 reinfections and 201 fatalities.
So far this week the daily updates showed one reinfection on Tuesday, one first-time infection on Wednesday and one first-time infection on Thursday. In the three-day weekend report released Monday, there were three first-time infection and one COVID-related death.
