Avoyelles' COVID weekend update: 180 tests, seven new cases, no deaths

Avoyelles Parish had seven new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, the state health department reported Monday.
The parish had 180 test results for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. There were four positive results out of 131 lab tests and three diagonsed cases in 49 rapid result tests. There were no additional COVID-related deaths.
Avoyelles has had 4,233 cases (3,687 lab tests and 546 rapid results) and 123 deaths (115/8) since the pandemic began in March 2020. The state's totals on Monday were 465,946 cases and 10,489 deaths.
