Avoyelles has a bad day on Thursday, but no new cases on Friday

Avoyelles had a bad day on Thursday with eight new cases and an additional death reported in the COVID update from the state health department. On Friday, the parish's report had only 74 test results with no net gain of cases for the 16-month pandemic. The day before, it had eight cases out of 269 tests.

As of Friday, Avoyelles' totals were 4,353 cases and 125 deaths.
