Avoyelles' Monday COVID report: 437 tests, four new cases

Over the weekend the state health department reviewed 437 COVID tests for Avoyelles Parish residents and had only four positive results. What is even more promising about those results is that there was only one COVID case in 406 lab tests used to determine the parish's official weekly positive rate. The other three were among 31 rapid result tests. There were no additional deaths in the weekend update, which included results for Saturday, Sunday and Monday reports.
Avoyelles' 15-month totals as of Monday were 4,345 cases and 124 deaths. The state's totals as of Monday were 480,463 cases and 10,728 deaths.
