Friday COVID update: 2 cases, no deaths, 198 tests

If nothing else, Friday's COVID update for Avoyelles Parish was "easy math" to determine the positive rate for the one-day report.
With 198 tests and only two new cases of COVID, that put the positive rate right at 1 percent. There were no additional deaths.
As of Friday, Avoyelles' 19-month totals for the COVID pandemic were 7,036 infections and 177 deaths. Statewide the totals were 751,874 cases and 14,321 deaths.
