Monday COVID update for Avoyelles: 62 cases, one death

The Monday COVID update for Avoyelles -- which includes test results for Saturday, Sunday and Monday -- showed an additional 53 first-time infections and nine reinfections and one additional COVID related death.

The parish's pandemic totals as of Monday were 10,548 individuals infected, 751 reinfections and 190 fatalities. The state totals as of Monday were almost 1.2 million cases with 15,953 death.
