Tuesday update for Avoyelles: 2 new cases out of 39 tests reviewed

For all intents and purposes, there was basically no COVID update for Avoyelles on Tuesday.
There was a report from the state health department, but it consisted of reviewing 39 tests with two positive results. Of those 39 tests, seven were lab tests with one new case of COVID identified. The other 32 were rapid result antigen tests, which also had only one new case diagnosed. There were no additional deaths.
As of Tuesday, Avoyelles' pandemic totals were 7,043 cases with 177 deaths. The statewide totals were 753,532 cases and 14,388 deaths.
