The Friday COVID update for Avoyelles was for two days, because the state health department did not release results on Veterans Day. Despite the double report, the parish saw only two new cases among 375 test results. There were no additional COVID-related deaths.
Avoyelles' pandemic totals as of Friday are 7,351 cases and 181 deaths. Statewide there had been 764,354 infections and 14,685 deaths since the pandemic began in March 2020.
