Weekend update for Avoyelles: 15 COVID cases in 616 tests, no deaths

Avoyelles Parish's COVID numbers continue to support a position that the summer surge has passed.
The three-day weekend update from the state health department reported 616 COVID tests were reviewed since Friday, with 15 new cases diagnosed. There were no additional deaths in the Saturday, Sunday and Monday reports.
This report put the total number of COVID cases in the parish since March 2020 at 7,011. The death toll remained at 175. Statewide the totals were 748,793 cases and 14,204 deaths.
