Friday afternoon storm update: 5,278 in Avoyelles still without electricity

As of 2 p.m., there were still 5,278 utility customers without electricity in Avoyelles Parish, approximately 24.3 percent in the parish.

At the height of the storm there were over 14,000 of the parish's 21,717 utility customers without service.
