Celebrate Catholic Schools Week with Bishop Marshall's Visit!

Bishop Marshall spent Wednesday, Jan. 28, visiting Catholic schools across Avoyelles Parish during Catholic Schools Week 2026, meeting with students, faculty, clergy and volunteers.
The visit began in Bunkie with Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church and a visit with the St. Anthony School community, including classroom visits and the school’s Religion Fair. Bishop Marshall then traveled to Sacred Heart School of Moreauville, where he joined the fifth grade in a multi-school online rosary.
In the afternoon, the bishop visited St. Joseph School in Plaucheville, sharing lunch with school leaders before touring classrooms. The day concluded at St. Mary’s Assumption School in Cottonport, where Bishop Marshall visited with students and thanked school staff and parent volunteers for their hospitality.
