Community Service Makes a Difference- A Thank You Note to Sheriff Dauzat

Dear Sheriff Dauzat:

After eight months of effort to rid Bayou Rouge of water hyacinth your furnishing of inmate labor concluded the project.

The Town of Cottonport thanks you and your staff for your cooperation. On two different occasions you provided necessary manual labor for sections inaccessible to equipment.

Additionally individual thanks go to the very polite and hardworking inmates they conveyed to me that they understand that they “did the crime and are doing the time”.

We are thankful that you allow community service to benefit both them and worthy projects.
