Community Steps Up, VFW Post 3841 Delivers: Mansura Veterans Complete Floor Renovation
MANSURA — Just weeks after asking the public for help, the members of VFW Post 3841 are proud to report that the job is getting done, and they are deeply grateful to the community that made it possible.
Thanks to generous donations totaling $2,300 through Building a Better Avoyelles and supporters across the parish, the veterans were able to purchase the materials needed to refinish the floors inside their post home. True to their word, the members did all the labor themselves. From cutting wood and prepping surfaces to applying epoxy and finishing the floor, the work was completed by the very men who once served our country overseas and who continue to serve here at home.
The photos accompanying this article show the transformation, including the newly refinished floor and veterans hard at work improving their meeting space in Mansura. The post members want the public to know that every dollar donated went directly toward materials and improvements. They are extremely thankful for the outpouring of support and proud to continue strengthening a place that serves as a gathering point for local veterans.
On behalf of VFW Post 3841, thank you to everyone who contributed. Your support made a visible difference, and it reminds our veterans that Avoyelles Parish stands behind them.
