Doodles Sno Shack Reopens in Marksville! 🍧
A familiar snow cone stand has taken a new step forward with a move to downtown Marksville as Doodles Sno Shack, formerly known as The Snow Stop, has reopened at 321 N. Main Street with a new name a bigger space and a vision rooted in family.
Owners Cliff and Heather Paulk said the decision to relocate from their previous spot in the TJ’s parking lot came from a desire to grow and create a place where the community could gather and slow down a bit.
“We wanted something bigger and better for our customers because of how amazing they’ve been to us,” they said.
The name “Doodles” carries a special meaning for the family. It began as a nickname given by their young son later picked up by his friends and is now used by their grandchildren. The Paulks said bringing that name into the business was their way of sharing a piece of their family with the community.
The new location offers more room to spread out with indoor and outdoor seating and space for families and friends to visit play and enjoy time together.
The owners say they are excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the support they’ve received along the way. They credited family friends and local supporters for helping bring the project together from design work to preparing the property.
Doodles Sno Shack offers more than 50 flavors of New Orleans-style snow cones including sugar-free options along with stuffed snow cones Blue Bell ice cream milkshakes floats and “dirty sno-das.” The menu also features snack items such as nachos Frito pies Flamin’ Hot Cheeto pies and much more.
