Wildlife Presentation brings Learning to Life at Lafargue Elem

Lafargue Elementary Pre-K students had a hands-on learning experience April 1 as they welcomed biologist Jose Enriquez with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

During the presentation, students explored a variety of mammal pelts while learning about native Louisiana wildlife, including animal habitats and diets.

The highlight of the visit came when students were given the opportunity to gently pet a live baby alligator 🐊, creating an exciting and memorable moment for the young learners.

School officials expressed appreciation to Enriquez for sharing his knowledge and helping bring science to life in the classroom.

Lafargue Elementary also reminds families that registration is still open for next year’s Pre-K program.
