Frank Havard seeks Marksville City Council District 1 seat: For Progress not politics

Frank Havard takes this opportunity to announce my candidacy for the Marksville City Council. District 1. I'm running because I believe that our citizens deserve the most committed representation possible. I will work hard to meet and engage with the people across the district and to bring a voice to their issues on the city council.

My priorities are to enhance the business environment in order to spur job creation, maintain a balanced city budget while improving our public safety, and connecting the many unique neighborhoods to improve our quality of life.

Marksville has many valuable assets in many areas but we need a progressive, business-friendly city council to capitalize on these opportunities. My passion is connecting creative concepts and nurturing them into collaborative fruition.

I want to help our city to be the best place for our families to flourish and I hope the voters of District One will allow me that opportunity.

I am a graduate of Marksville High School and received a MED degree from Louisiana State University.

We are going to demonstrate that a campaign reflecting all people 11 the district working together to foster progress without sacrificing the common good will enable us to realize a better tomorrow. Unity and inclusion will be critical central threads in the tapestry of this election year in District One.

District One's council member must articulate a vision for the entire city and all of its residents. I intend to give voice and shape to that vision in my campaign by inviting all of District One and the entire city to work together as we build a stronger future.

My public and private sector experiences, along with a firm grounding in our community have taught me that we have so much to be proud of in Marksville and throughout Avoyelles Parish. I intend for my campaign to be as much a celebration of our accomplishments as it is a serious and informed dialogue about the challenge of working together to ensure that all of our res- idents share in Marksville's future

I am very interested in getting involved in the city council. as I would like to see the city maintain our current employers and jobs. While continuing to look for new business opportunities. My experience with Farm Bureau has given me some insight into sound business practices. I also believe that the city of Marksville budget needs to be monitored carefully to maintain services necessary for the continued health of Marksville. I will do my utmost to be a good and faithful city council member. doing what is best for Markstille.

Your vote for me would be greatly appreciated

Thank you and may God Bless.
