🎉GRAND OPENING: The Classic Cut Men & Kids Salon Celebrates One Year in Business

The Classic Cut – Men & Kids Salon is celebrating their first anniversary this month. Owner, Lauren Dauzat, opened the salon in February 2025 after recognizing a growing need for more options in Avoyelles Parish for a barbershop-style business dedicated to men’s grooming.

Dauzat, who became a licensed stylist in 2010, previously worked in the Alexandria area before transferring to Avoyelles Parish. After opening The Classic Cut as a one-woman operation and the demand quickly increasing, she welcomed two additional stylists to the team: Dawn Dauzat and Karlie Lemoine.

To celebrate their one-year anniversary, The Classic Cut is hosting a Grand Opening event on February 6th. All clients who visit between now and February 5th will be entered into a drawing to win hair products, shop merchandise, and a shop gift certificate. The drawing will take place at noon during the Grand Opening event. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will also be held by the Marksville Chamber of Commerce.
