As Halloween approaches, communities across Avoyelles Parish are hosting a variety of Trunk-or-Treats, festivals, and spooky-fun gatherings for families to enjoy. Below is a full list of local events happening throughout the week of and before Halloween! Send us your photos!

Wednesday, Oct. 22

Avoyelles Hospital Trunk or Treat — Marksville
🕠 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Avoyelles Hospital will host a Trunk or Treat on the hospital grounds. All are welcome to come, set up vehicles, and hand out candy.

Thursday, Oct. 23

Trunk-or-Treat — Avoyelles 4-H Center, Mansura
🕠 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. | 8592 Hwy., Mansura
Children are invited to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes and collect candy and treats from parish 4-H clubs and local businesses.
🎟️ Admission: One non-perishable food item per family. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday, Oct. 24

Trunk-or-Treat — St. Genevieve Catholic Church, Marksville
🕕 6 – 8 p.m. | 4052 LA-452, Marksville
This free community event will feature candy, face painting, games, music, hot dogs, and costume contests.

Saturday, Oct. 25

Halloween Boo Bash — Bayou Elite Athletics, Mansura
🕕 6 – 9 p.m. | 7974 LA-1

Halloween-Themed Dungeons & Dragons Adventure — Marksville Library

Halloween Movie Night — Big Bend Museum, Moreauville

Purple Skye Festival Presents Cinema Night — Mansura Town Hall

11th Annual Trick or Treat Around the Track — Bordelonville

Trunk-or-Treat — Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Fifth Ward

Halloween Town Spooktacular — Bunkie

Haunted House, Trunk-or-Treat alley, kid games, face painting, and movie under the stars. 🎟️ $25 per vehicle.

Fall Festival — Hessmer Baptist Church

Games, hay rides, cake walk, pumpkin painting, and food. Free and family-friendly.

Spooky Trunk-or-Treat — All Saints Hospice, Mansura

Annual Trunk-or-Treat — Point of Life Community Church, Plaucheville

Annual Community Trick-or-Treat — Simmesport RISE

Local businesses and families will hand out candy in a safe setting.
