✨ Healing Unity: Join the Second Annual Tribal Strong 5K! 🏃‍♀️💕

The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe, together with the Marksville and Avoyelles Parish communities, hosted the Second Annual Healing Tribal Strong 5K Walk/Run on Nov. 1, creating an uplifting day focused on healing, remembrance, and unity for families affected by cancer.

Participants of all ages walked or ran in honor of survivors, those currently battling cancer, and loved ones who have passed.

The event highlighted the community’s continued commitment to compassion and support. Survivors, caregivers, families, youth groups, and supporters completed the course together, many carrying the names of those they were running for.

Volunteers and tribal partners helped create a welcoming, encouraging environment for all who attended.

This year’s 5K also featured a farmer’s market hosted by La Petite Affaire Café, children’s activities, vendor booths, and family-friendly spaces that added to the festive atmosphere. Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, and supporters, the event raised $5,000 for the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Foundation, helping expand care and support services for patients across the region.

The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the event and reaffirmed its commitment to continuing this mission of support in the years ahead.
