🧣 Help Our Seniors Stay Warm! Join the Rotary Club Blanket Drive!

Winter has arrived and the Rotary Club of Avoyelles is once again hosting its annual blanket drive to benefit the Avoyelles Council on Aging and Avoyelles Public Transit helping keep local seniors warm and comfortable during the colder months.

The Rotary Club is collecting new blankets through Jan. 12 encouraging parish residents businesses and organizations to participate.

Organizers said even a single blanket can make a meaningful difference by providing warmth comfort and reassurance to seniors in need.

Several convenient drop-off locations have been established across Avoyelles Parish including:

• First Guaranty Bank branches on Tunica Drive in Marksville and in Moreauville
• Simmesport State Bank branches in Mansura and Simmesport
• Empower Wealth Management in Marksville

Rotary Club members emphasized the importance of community support in ensuring seniors remain safe and comfortable throughout the winter season.

The organization expressed appreciation to everyone who contributes to the drive and helps spread kindness and care across Avoyelles Parish.
