HOLIDAY CLOSURE NOTICE: CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR’S

Sheriff David L. Dauzat would like to inform the public of the upcoming holiday closure schedule for the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office Administration.

CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE:

The Administration Offices will be CLOSED on the following dates in observance of Christmas:

• Wednesday, December 24, 2025
• Thursday, December 25, 2025
• Friday, December 26, 2025

NEW YEAR’S SCHEDULE:

The Administration Offices will be CLOSED on the following dates in observance of the New Year:

• Wednesday, December 31, 2025 (See Tax Office Note Below)
• Thursday, January 1, 2026
• Friday, January 2, 2026

IMPORTANT TAX OFFICE NOTICE:

While the general Administration Offices will be closed on New Year's Eve, the Tax Department will be OPEN on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, until 2:00 PM to accept property tax payments. The Tax Office will close promptly at 2:00 PM.

As always, our Patrol, 911 Communications, and Corrections divisions will remain fully operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the holiday season. Please dial 911 for any emergency.
