Christmas Candy and Cookie Making Class 🎄🍪

St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Echo will host a Christmas Candy and Cookie Making Class on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 12 to 3:30 p.m. at 104 Echo Street.

Participants are invited to bring their favorite recipes and the ingredients needed to make them. The event encourages families and community members to work together, enjoy holiday baking, and share their creations. All ages are welcome to join in the fun.

Ed Oliver Jr. 6th Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway 🎁

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle and Louisiana native Ed Oliver Jr. will once again bring holiday cheer to Avoyelles Parish as he hosts his 6th Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Holy Ghost Gym, 121 S. Preston Street in Marksville. The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon, or while supplies last.

The drive-thru giveaway is open to children ages 3–12, and each child must be present to receive a toy. This annual event has become a beloved tradition for local families, and Oliver says he feels honored to continue bringing joy to children during the holiday season. With the support of family, friends, and community volunteers, he has assembled a team of “elves” who help distribute gifts and greet families.

St. Joseph School Christmas Caroling Event 🎶

St. Joseph Elementary and High School in Plaucheville will hold its annual Christmas caroling event on Monday, Dec. 15 at 5:30 p.m. Students, families and parish members are invited to gather at the St. Joseph School gym before joining together to sing carols and share the spirit of the season.

The event is open to the community and encourages participation from all ages. St. Joseph School is located at 3406 Hwy. 107 South in Plaucheville.
