🌟 How One Person's Determination Transforms Lives! 🤝

In 4-H, there are many great people who are willing to help their community. But there are also people who show how one's own drive and willpower can change things that were thought to take many.

Courtney Juneau is one such person. Her drive for making people's days better all started when we look back at her past.

Growing up, Courtney had a relative that lived in a nursing home. Come Christmas time, she noticed not just him, but many others in the nursing home get lonely and receive very little on special holidays like Christmas. Courtney thought that this was not right, seeing as she and her family got to have a Christmas filled with joy and love, while some are alone and can't make memories every year like most of us can. Courtney knew this was not right and that something needed to be done.

So, on her own, she started to raise money and take in donations of things like socks or other necessities, as well as using the money she raised to make gift baskets and buy nice things for people who live in a nursing home and may not get to experience Christmas like other people can.

Courtney is a great example of how, if you put your mind towards something, you can do great things, not only for others but for yourself.

Whether it be studying a little harder for that upcoming test or spending more time helping others and your community, everyone can do something great if they are determined to do it. Courtney’s generosity has made many people smile, and so can you.
