A Life of Service and Leadership
After graduating from Lafargue High School, Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Dix, Trenton, New Jersey, and later in Germany. He retired as Director of Technologyfor the Rapides Parish School Board.
Beyond his professional career, Jerry was deeply committed to his community. He served over 10 years as a board member of the Ward One Community Foundation, helping lead beloved local events such as Easter on the Red, Halloween Walking Treat, and Veterans & Memorial Day celebrations.
For 17 years, he also served as Ward One Justice of the Peace, going above and beyond his duties — even opening his home to perform marriage ceremonies.
A man of faith, Jerry was a devoted member of Saints Francis and Anne Church in Kolin and an active Knight of Columbus, always ready to lend a hand and bring people together.
