Spinning Babies Workshop Planned June 22 in Alexandria

Professionals who support pregnancy, birth and family care are invited to attend a Spinning Babies Foundational Workshop on Monday, June 22, in Alexandria.

The one-day workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central Louisiana Technical Community College Multipurpose Room, located at 516 Murray Street in Alexandria.

The workshop is designed to provide hands-on training in physiologic techniques that support optimal fetal positioning, improve comfort during labor and help address common challenges that can arise during childbirth.

Participants will learn practical skills that can be used to better support mothers and families in a variety of birth settings.

The training is open to professionals who serve people during pregnancy and birth, including: - Nurses - Doulas - Therapists - Childbirth educators - Healthcare providers - Others who work with birthing families.

Organizers say the workshop offers an opportunity to build confidence, expand knowledge and learn tools that may help improve labor outcomes and the overall birth experience.

The event is hosted by The Family Tree Information, Education & Counseling Center, CenLA Healthy Start and Healthy Blue.

Those interested in attending may register by scanning the QR code on the flyer. Spots are limited, and early registration is encouraged.
