Do you know someone affected by the recent flooding who needs help reporting their damage?

Many elderly residents, disabled individuals, and others may not have access to technology or may not feel comfortable using websites and online forms.

Avoyelles Today is organizing volunteers to help these residents complete their damage reports through damage.la.gov.

Volunteers will visit homes, take photographs of damage, and assist residents with submitting the information needed by state officials.

If you have a friend, neighbor, or relative who needs this assistance, please send us a private message with their name, address, and contact information.

We are also looking for volunteers. If you have a smartphone, tablet, iPad, laptop, or other device and would like to help residents complete these reports, please send us a message. A few minutes of your time could make a big difference for someone trying to recover from this historic flood.
