La Petite Affaire Café Expands Lunch and Dinner Service in Marksville
La Petite Affaire Café in Marksville is expanding its dining program with new seasonal menus, permanent lunch service and dinner three nights a week.
The café will now serve breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Friday, with dinner offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. A monthly Sunday brunch will also be held on the first Sunday of each month.
Chef Roy Guilbeau said the expanded schedule will give customers more opportunities to enjoy the café’s seasonal approach to food, from morning pastries and coffee to lunch and evening meals inspired by Louisiana and the countryside cafés of Provence.
“From the beginning, our goal has been to create a restaurant that celebrates the people, products and seasons of Central Louisiana,” Guilbeau said.
The new breakfast, lunch and dinner menus will rotate throughout the year based on available ingredients and seasonal harvests. The café uses products from local farmers, Louisiana producers and its own garden, where herbs, flowers and garnishes are grown.
The expanded beverage menu will include seasonal cocktails, selected wines, regional craft beers and locally roasted coffee.
La Petite Affaire began in 2020 as La Petite Affaire Boulangers, a cottage bakery selling goods at the local farmers market. Since then, it has grown into a full-service café while continuing to support local growers, bakers and artisans.
The café also hosts an indoor farmers market every Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon, offering locally produced foods, artisan goods, breads, pastries, breakfast items and coffee.
The new hours are:
Breakfast is served Tuesday through Friday from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dinner is served Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Sunday brunch will be served on the first Sunday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
