Lady Tigers improve to 20–7 with win over Eunice
The Marksville Lady Tigers returned to the win column with a victory over Eunice, improving their season record to an impressive 20-7 as the playoffs approach.
Kennedy McDaniel led the Lady Tigers offensively with 11 kills while adding four blocks. Emianna Desselles contributed four service aces, and Katie Lachney anchored the defense with a team-high 11 digs.
“It was nice to get back on the winning track after suffering two losses,” Marksville head coach John Dunbar said. “I liked the energy our girls played with.” Dunbar praised the performance of his setters, Emianna Desselles and Ema Bryant, who helped keep the Lady Tigers’ offense clicking.
“I thought our two setters played as well as they have all season,” Dunbar said. “They did a great job putting the ball in great spots for our hitters.” With the postseason just weeks away, Dunbar emphasized the importance of finishing strong.
“We need to be playing our best ball down the stretch with the playoffs starting in a couple of weeks,” Dunbar said. The Lady Tigers will look to carry that momentum into the final stretch of the regular season as they prepare for postseason play.
