LCDBG Application Available for Review

The Village of Hessmer announces that an application for FY 2026 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) funds will be submitted for the following:

• ACTIVITY: LCDBG funds will be used to make water system improvements.
• OBJECTIVE: To provide adequate service for low-moderate income residents of the Target areas within the Village of Hessmer.
• LOCATION: The Target Area consists of the Village of Hessmer’s Public Water System.
• AMOUNT: $2,000,000 for Water System Improvements (LCDBG Funds).

All citizens, particularly persons of low and moderate income and residents of blighted areas, are encouraged to submit their views and proposals by December 13, 2024 to the Mayor at the following address:

The application is to be submitted to the State’s Office of Community Development on or about December 15, 2024. A copy of the application is available for review at the Village Hall in Hessmer between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
