Local Churches Announce Special Services and Anniversaries

Special Service set March 14 at First Union Baptist

First Union Baptist Church, 1537 Bordelon Road in Bunkie, will host a special service on Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m.

Guest speaker for the afternoon will be Bishop Arthur E. Glover of Second Street Missionary Baptist Church in Somerville, Texas. The service will be hosted by Pastor Rev. Robert E. Woods.

Community members are invited to attend and join in fellowship and worship.

Plymouth Rock Ushers Annual set for March 8

Plymouth Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Morrow, where Bishop Leon Figgins serves as pastor, will hold its Ushers Annual on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2 p.m.

Rev. Donald Joubert, pastor of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Beggs, will serve as the guest speaker for the occasion. The public is cordially invited to attend and join in this special service.

Old Zion Missionary Baptist to celebrate 23rd Pastoral Anniversary

The members of Old Zion Missionary Baptist Church invite the public to join them in celebrating their pastor’s 23rd Pastoral Anniversary on Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m.

The celebration will be held at the church, located at 418 Zion Road in Cottonport. The guest speaker for the occasion will be Pastor Gerald C. Augustine of Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville.
