Low-cost pet clinic scheduled for Avoyelles area

Magnolia Spay Neuter will host a mobile clinic on June 11 at 170 Honeybee Road in Simmesport, serving residents of Avoyelles Parish and surrounding areas.

A $25 non-refundable scheduling fee per pet is required at booking and will be applied toward the total cost of services.

All pets must be brought in a carrier or crate, with one animal per carrier.

Due to equipment limitations, the clinic cannot accommodate dogs over 70 pounds or pets older than seven years.

Officials note that female dog appointments must be scheduled by phone.

Special requirements apply for feral cats. Animals must be brought in a live trap and must have a scheduled appointment to qualify for the feral cat package.

Walk-in feral cats will not be accepted at mobile clinic locations.
