LPB’s LA64 Highlights Rapides Parish in Latest Episode!

Louisiana Public Broadcasting is continuing its statewide travel series LA64 with a new episode set to air Monday, April 20 at 8:00 p.m., focusing on the heart of central Louisiana—Rapides Parish.

The series, hosted by Louisiana native and travel journalist Karen LeBlanc, explores all 64 parishes across the state, showcasing the unique culture, cuisine, history, and everyday life that define Louisiana.

In this episode, viewers are taken through key areas of Rapides Parish, including Alexandria and Pineville. The journey also features visits to the historic lumber town of Long Leaf and the former World War II training site at Camp Claiborne. Together, these locations highlight the region’s deep ties to agriculture, military history, and small-town development at the center of the state.

The series is part of Louisiana Public Broadcasting’s 50th anniversary celebration, emphasizing its mission to share stories from across Louisiana. Previous episodes of LA64 are available for streaming online and on LPB’s YouTube channel.
